Melissa Barrera

Before Minnesota, Melissa obtained her undergraduate degree at New York University, located not too far from her hometown Garfield, NJ. During her time at NYU, she worked on the total synthesis of a potential antibiotic drug under Professor Dirk Trauner. When not in lab, she’s likely watching cooking tutorials on youtube, doing yoga, or trying out new restaurants in town.
